Honeyshed

HoneyShed

Well, I got my first peek that the much hyped Honeyshed. I was anxious to see this after reading a Business Week article many months ago.

At that time, I remembered thinking that the concept was prety cool. But truthfully, now that I”ve explored the beta launch, I’m not impressed by the concept.

At the end of the day, its just an interactive shopping channel like QVC (guised as entertainment). I watched for 10-15 minutes and wasn’t very entertained.

On Honeyshed, we’ve stepped backwards where I’m watching a series of infomercials in the order that’s dictated to me. Isn’t the web supposed to be a choose your own adventure story based on non-linear navigation?

The interface and usability are not very intutive. If I was an advertiser or seller, I’d want the transactional cues (BUY NOW) to be front and center.
